Clavister Security System 6006
Clavister Security System 6006 packs an amazing amount of capacity; up to 160 Gbps firewall and routing throughput, 80 Gbps IPSec throughput, 80 million concurrent sessions and 800,000 VPN tunnels when using the award-winning Clavister ATCA Security Blades.
The six slots provided by the Clavister System 6006 5U chassis supports up to four Clavister ATCA Security Blades and two Clavister Switch/Control Blades.
With its compact form-factor, the Clavister Security System 6006 makes it easy to address the security needs in remote field/edge applications, such as Packet-Based Radio Access Networks, where large 13U systems are not practical due to space constraints, nor necessary from a capacity or scalability point of view.
Product description
The Clavister ATCA Security Blades, as well as the Clavister Switch/Control Blades, lie horizontally and are cooled by two hot-swappable fan units. The chassis backplane is a full mesh backplane, supporting dual-star fabric (base and fabric) with dual IPMB busses for platform management. The Clavister Security System 6006 accommodates six Rear Transition Modules (RTM) which are cooled by fans within the two -48VDC/-60VDC Power Entry Modules (PEM).
Shelf management
The two Clavister Security System 6006 Shelf Managers are integrated in the Clavister Switch/Control Blade to reduce cost and space. The role of the Shelf Managers is to monitor and control the shelf state, the presence and health of the shelf’s FRUs, as well as blades that may be inserted into the shelf. The Clavister Security System 6006 can be operated with only one Clavister Switch/Control Blade for cost-sensitive application where total redundancy is not necessary.

Redundancy and high availabilityThe Clavister Security System 6006 is designed for mission-critical operations. Redundancy is inherent in its core design, including power, control, and connectivity. Dual redundant -48VDC/-60VDC power is provided, as required by the PICMG 3.0 specification. This makes the Clavister System 6006 able to meet and exceed crucial high demands on service availability, including five-nine (99,999%) in-service performance.
