Clavister Core/SSG Blade

Clavister I-WLAN - TTG BladeThe Clavister Core/SSG Blade is a multi-service security gateway providing a wide range of routing, firewall, VPN, Authentication, Authorization and Audit (AAA), Quality of Service (QoS) and network segmentation functionality within an IP-based telecom network, such as the Packet Based Radio Network (PRAN).
The Clavister Core/SSG Blade employs a unique distributed architecture with separated data and control planes to offer best-in-class performance and robustness. Thanks to its unique architecture the Clavister Core/SSG Blade can offer key features and benefits to telecom operators, such as self-healing processes, in-service software upgrades and unprecedented performance with up to 560 Gbps of routing and firewall throughput, 280 Gbps IPsec VPN throughput, 2,8 million VPN tunnels and an amazing 280 million concurrent sessions.

Clavister Core/SSG Blade

  • Unified solution for decreased cost of operations
With a complete set of features and functions, and almost endless capacity and scalability, the Clavister Core/SSG Blade makes a perfect choice for telecom operators who want to standardize their security infrastructure on a common technology for streamlined deployment, management and maintenance.
  • The need for security in IP-based networks
The need for security in telecom operator networks are obvious as IP-based networks are growing in size and numbers, and become more open than the traditional circuit-switch networks.
A typical examples of where the Clavister Core/SSG blade can be used in the new generation of networks include the RAN SeGWs element found in the Packet Based Radio Network where it protects the Radio Network Controllers (RNC) or the Base Station Controllers (BSC).
