ÖRNSKÖLDSVIK, SWEDEN. 2018-06-28

Clavister AB, a leading provider of network security solutions, announced today the release of Clavister cOS Core 12.00.10, an update which shows significant improvements in a number of key areas.

In this release, critical improvements include improved WebUI features, such as enhanced ping tool and Time Zone configuration. Additionally, more improvements are made which improves user experience and compatibility.

The release features highlights are as follows:

General FQDN Policy Support - It is now possible to configure and use FQDN address objects in Intrusion Detection, Threshold rules, IP policies, Traffic shaping and Policy Based Routing rules.

DNS ALG - The system has been enhanced with DNS monitoring support. By configuring an IP policy with a DNS profile (DNS-ALG), it is now possible to both monitor and control what type of DNS traffic that is allowed in the network.

Wildcard Support for FQDN Policies - The FQDN address support for several system features has been improved with wildcard support. It is now possible to configure Intrusion Detection, Threshold rules, IP policies, Traffic shaping and Policy Based Routing using FQDN address objects configured as domain filters. This will only work when combined with the new DNS-ALG to make the system learn the IP addresses for configured FQDN filters by monitoring clients' DNS traffic.

The new cOS Core is available for customers on My Clavister, under downloads section.
